Binge eating disorder: more than overeating
बिंज ईटिंग डिसऑर्डर
Binge eating disorder means regular episodes of eating much more than usual with a sense of loss of control, without regular vomiting or fasting afterwards.
It is linked with weight gain, diabetes and low mood, but it is a mental health condition, not a lack of willpower.

Frequently asked questions
Will a strict diet fix it?
Usually not — strict diets often trigger more binges. Regular, balanced meals work better.
Should the family join the consultation?
Yes, family input is very helpful — especially for children, teenagers, eating disorders and memory problems. Part of the session can also be private.
Can this be treated by online consultation?
Many people can be assessed and followed up by private video. If a physical examination, tests or admission are needed, you will be guided to the right local service.
